In 2016, the Virginia General Assembly approved House Bill 727 (HB727) which requires the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (the Authority) to make certain information concerning projects in its regional transportation plan publicly available at least 15 days prior to any decision for the expenditure of funds to create or improve a transportation facility.
