As of October 2024, $889,046,074* in NVTA Local Funds have been programmed by NoVA localities to invest in transportation needs.
*This 30% total was generated on October 28, 2024, based on responses received from jurisdictions to an NVTA staff request. Jurisdictions may use these funds for staff resources but they are not reported here
(30% Local Funds are distributed to individual Northern Virginia localities and utilized for their transportation needs, including additional urban or secondary road construction; for other capital improvements that reduce congestion; for other transportation capital improvements which have been approved by the most recent long-range transportation plan adopted by the Authority; or for public transportation purposes.)
