While HB 2313 requires that all projects funded by the NVTA Regional Revenues undergo the HB 599 Rating and Evaluation process, with the exception of mass transit capital projects that increase capacity, HB 1470 includes transit projects in those transportation projects that will be rated by VDOT in accordance with § 33.2-257 as a criterion to be eligible for funding by the Authority. The bill was passed in March of 2015, but has a delayed effective date of July 1, 2016.
