The I-495 Express Lanes will be extended by approximately three miles and The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is offering two new opportunities for the public to ask questions about the project.
The 495 NEXT Project will extend the Express Lanes between the Dulles Toll Road interchange and the George Washington Memorial Parkway interchange in the vicinity of the American Legion Bridge. The extension will help “reduce congestion, improve safety and travel reliability, and provide additional travel choices,” VDOT says.
VDOT will be hosting a virtual question and answer session on September 28 and 30 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Visit http://495northernextension.org/ for access to the sessions.
