Committees
The Authority currently has two statutory committees and three standing committees. Other committees may be appointed by the CEO. All committees have a distinct role in supporting regional transportation planning, funding and policy. These committees provide guidance on financial oversight, governance, long-range planning, project selection, technical expertise, and emerging transportation technologies. Composed of NVTA members, elected officials, and subject matter experts, the committees work collaboratively to make informed decisions that enhance mobility across Northern Virginia.
Statutory Committees
Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)
TAC meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the NVTA offices.
Planning Coordination Advisory Committee (PCAC)
PCAC meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the NVTA offices.
Standing Committees
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the NVTA offices.
Governance and Personnel Committee (GPC)
GPC meets on the second Thursday of each month, at 5:30 PM, unless a meeting is deemed unnecessary for that particular month.
Planning and Programming Committee (PPC)
PPC meets on an as-needed basis to address matters relevant to its charge.
