Transportation Planning Board to Consider Funding for Projects that Promote Walkable, Bikeable, and Transit-Accessible Communities
Washington, D.C. (April 20, 2021) – During its next virtual meeting on Wednesday, the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB) will consider 11 projects for $600,000 in technical assistance through the Transportation Land-use Connections (TLC) Program. The program supports planning for walkable, bikeable, and transit-accessible communities.
The board will also consider granting more than $500,000 in supplemental funding to six projects that enhance mobility for seniors and persons with disabilities through the Federal Transit Administration’s Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act.
The board will be updated on the new or amended projects submitted for the update to the region’s long-range transportation plan, Visualize 2045.
