Join the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) on Feb. 11 to view displays and learn more about this project, its preliminary design and its tentative construction schedule. There will be a presentation at 7:15 pm.
To achieve the vision of the Arlington National Cemetery Southern Expansion, the project will realign Columbia Pike from east of South Oak Street to Washington Boulevard (Route 27), modify the Joyce Street and Route 27 interchange and replace Southgate Road with a new segment of South Nash Street.
The project also will improve multimodal capacity by adding pedestrian and bicycle facilities as well as street lighting. There will be no residential relocations as a result of this project. This project will result in a change of limited access control along the north side of the interchange and Route 27.
