COG Announcement: Officials to be briefed on regional COVID-19 transportation impacts

January 21, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Washington, D.C. (January 20, 2021) – During its next virtual meeting on Thursday, the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB) will be updated on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on area transportation, part of COG’s ongoing multi-sector analysis.

The TPB will also be briefed on findings from its once-in-a-decade Regional Travel Survey. This briefing will compare the latest 2017/2018 survey data with 2007/2008 data, and describe how travel has changed in the region, including number of trips taken, and trip mode, length, and purpose.

In addition, the board will appoint residents from across the region to its Community Advisory Committee.
